New Trans Support Group!

Sydney Transgender Access, Resource and Support (S.T.A.R.S)
First meeting!

7pm, Sunday, November 13th
AIDS Coalition office (150 Bentinck, close to the YMCA building)

Are you a trans Cape Bretoner looking for support, resources and a group of people who know what you’re going through? S.T.A.R.S wants to see you!

S.T.A.R.S is a safe, confidential and supportive environment for all trans people. We are based on the idea that we are all experts in our own experience and can both teach and learn from each other in addition to providing compassion and support for each other.

Cisgendered (non-transgendered) Allies are welcome to attend as long as they are coming to listen and respect that the space is by and for trans people.

Trans-forming Communities: Making Queer Youth Matter

ACCB's Queer Youth Advisory Committee

It’s been nearly a month since we officially launched Trans-Forming Communities: Making Queer Youth Matter and the response has been overwhelming! We’ve been meeting a diverse and wonderful group of educators, guidance counselors, social workers and service providers who are committed to making change for queer youth in Cape Breton.

We’ve mostly confirmed our list of trainings and we’re hoping to see returning and new faces at the next workshops. Be sure to email Michael at cbqueeryouth at gmail.com to RSVP for these sessions.
